LOVE

Here is the project I have been promising for a couple of weeks. The cost is $27.50 and that includes the 4 canvases, all papers and trim. Canvas are 6 by 6 . Trim details will be your choice. I used Ruby for the background but you can choose any color to go with the black and white papers of For Always. This is an easy project. I would love to have you come to my workshop and complete the project. There is a lot of paper cutting but it is pretty easy to do. Trims and accents are up to you. I kept mine fairly simple.

Don't live near me? You can order all the supplies from my webstore. I used 4 of our 6 by 6 canvas - Z1818 $4.95 each. I used For Always paper pack - X7165B $9.95. I used a variety of bling and ribbon, all from CTMH. Christmas Cards

 

I am not rushing Christmas. My husband and I were just boating yesterday. We are so thankful for these beautiful September days. It is always sad to see the summer lake season come to an end.

Studio J

Minis

Check out our new mini stamps on page 113. Check out those cute creations on the opposite page. How easy and how quick!!! Ah... Memories!

I still remember the first time I laid eyes on a DOTS stamp. I was hooked. I had always loved crafting and now I was looking at something new - rubber stamps. I wanted it all so I decided to become a DOTS (Dozens of Terrific Stamps) consultant. I enjoyed that for more than 5 years.

Winter is Coming

It is just August but you can feel a change in the air. We will soon be seeing the leaves falling and then the snow will fly. Look at page 48. Isn't Frosted just beautiful? This is my favorite paper in the new book. I love it...

The Frosted Assortment of flowers are a great accompaniment to this paper. The workshop on the go on page 53 makes such a wintery backdrop for your winter pictures. Don't make scrapbooks? Well, look at this card kit on page 69. I am already starting on my Christmas cards. That stamp set is a "must have" for Christmas. The baker's twine in this kit has a sparkle to it. Super cute!

Elegant

Elegant is all I can say about Huntington. These are my colors. The paper reminds me of wallpaper. I know, wallpaper has seen its time but I still love to look at the patterns. These papers are just so pretty and they just scream FALL. The canvas assortment coordinates so well and these things really stick!

Page 44 shows our new Jute ribbon. I think you will like adding this rough ribbon to fall layouts. Check out the Workshop on the Go on page 47. A friend of mine did this workshop last weekend and it was so beautiful. Look at that stamp SWEET. I am going to use that on so many cards and layouts. Remember, you can't order that stamp. You can only get it as part of this WOG.

Babycakes

Ok... I really like this paper. Check out page 36. This is a very non-traditional baby paper. I love it. Those are my colors. And, how cute are those wood-rimmed buttons? OMG!!! I had to create with this. Check out the stamps on pages 38 and 39. See those red lines around those images? That means that the cartridge cuts out the image for you to stamp. I used Wild Wonders on a recent baby book. It was just too cute. Remember cutting all those pieces out by hand? The new Artbooking cartridge makes is so easy.

Now, just to make it even better, you can order the workshop on the go on page 41 and get that super cute stamp set. Have you tried our shimmer tape? Well, it is included in this kit. If you like it like I do, you will have to order it in every color we offer. Check them all out on page 121. That red will be super for holiday projects.

What kid isn't in to electronic games? I am sure that you have lots of pictures for this paper pack. I am talking about ProPlayer  on page 30. I like the paper but I love the ProPlayer assortment. They are so modern and hip... I am not just using them with this paper pack.

Check out that cute gaming stamp on page 32 - Tech Speak. And, did you miss the Slate Striped Twist Ties in the upper right corner? I did until a friend pointed them out. Not My Favorite

Looking at the new papers in our Fall/Winter Idea Book is so fun. Which one do you like best? I have to say that Sarita would not be my favorite. But, that is ok. We each like different papers and that is what is so great about the wide variety of products that CTMH offers. Look at page 24. Don't you love the new home decorating products? Check out both new frames on page 71 and more new stuff on page 72. The two display trays are not new but they are super to use in your home décor.

Check out page 19 - Laughing Lola. Don't you just love the colors in this pack? Turn the page and look at those coordinating Mini-Medley Accents. I love the black accents. The stamp sets are super cute too. Turn the page again to check out the Workshop on the Go. The kit comes with everything you need to create a great scrapbook layout. The stamp set included can't be purchased alone. You have to order the workshop to get that great stamp set. AMAZING!

Would you rather do cards? Check out page 68. There is Laughing Lola Cardmaking Kit. I don't know about you but I really want that stamp set. It will last long after you have used up the card kit. I really like the sparkle of the baker's twine that is included in this kit. Remember, everything you need is included to make 15 beautiful cards. You will need to purchase the ink if you don't have any of the suggested colors.

Day 3 Update

Well, what did you think about the new idea book? Isn't it wonderful? There are some new products I would like to make sure that you don't miss.

Check out page 133. We have a new Stitch Guide and a new Foam Mat. I saw this in action and had to order one. It allows you to create some very cute stitching patterns. Also, check out our new Scallop Border Punch. We have a new Corner Rounder too. You may not have noticed the new scissors in our last idea book. We now carry a Nonstick Micro Tip Scissors. They cut right through adhesive without sticking. Don't miss the Rub and Remove Eraser on the bottom corner of the page. Have you ever put down your picture only to decide to move it? Got that sticky adhesive in all the wrong spots. Use this eraser to get ride of it.

New Cricut Cartridge

I "borrowed" this post from another CTMH consultant who attended convention and got to see the cartridge up close. Here are her thoughts on the new cartridge.


Close To My Heart has done it again! The new Cricut cartridge, Artbooking is totally unique and takes a groundbreaking approach to scrapbooking.

There are three things I'm excited about this cartridge.

1) A Beautiful New Font

You can always use a new font for your projects. This script font is beautiful!

2) Ten Mini Albums

CTMH makes it easy by color coordinating the handbook so you know which pages are made to go together. Of course, you can make an even more eclectic book by mixing up between the book styles. In addition to the basic pages shown below, there are many theme specific pages you can use to customize your mini album.

3) Thirty 2-page Scrapbooking Layouts

One key includes all the elements you need to make the layout. On the left side of the page you can see a sample layout using these pieces. To cut it exactly as shown, set your dial size to 11", load your papers and cut away. How cool is that??? 

Alternatively, you can use real dial size to change an individual image to any size you desire.
